Happy 2012

These pictures your viewing came from a 15-20 minute trip up to Holmenkollen on a Sunday evening, when a ski event had just finished. It looked stunning but alas was not the best laid plan. A 15-20 minute trip turned into a 2 hour drive home in traffic. We weren’t the only ones up there to enjoy the view and for most, the snow! There is a little snow covering the ground but not so much that you cannot see pavement. I am very glad to see the daylight hours extend and to know that the (literal) dark days are behind us.

This is my first post of the new year and I already feel a little slow compared to other bloggers that post every week on time and have probably vowed to do so even more in the new year. For me not such luck, or for you as the case may be! My new years resolutions are more on the lines of to have health, fun and to learn this year. Hopefully some of this will make it up on this blog. I very much look forward to what this year may bring. Let me know about yours!

  1. Love the pictures. Its very cold here at the moment. Went to our first funeral in 2012 yesterday – a member of the church and one of identical twins aged nearly 84. Pamela (the twin left) is bearing up well but it must feel strange as they had been to-gether every day since day one. Its quiet here after all the visitors but we did enjoy being with you all on Christmas and Boxing days. Keep happy and smiling – love to you both. Grandie
